Where to park at both ferry ports, what it costs, and tips for foot passengers. Everything you need whether you drive across or leave your car behind.
If you take your car on the ferry, you don't need a car park – you drive straight on after check-in. Parking only matters if you travel as a foot passenger or leave a car behind on either side of the Channel.
| Port | Long-stay parking | Approx. price |

The Calais ferry terminal has a secure, fenced and monitored car park for travellers leaving their car. It is the safest option for long stays – far better than street parking in the town. Daily rates apply, with cheaper weekly tariffs for longer trips.
The Port of Dover runs an official long-stay car park at the Eastern Docks, close to the ferry terminal. Expect roughly £12–16 per day, with cheaper weekly rates. Booking online in advance is usually cheaper than paying at the barrier.
